Everything DiSC is a model to help us understand human behavior. The model provides a framework for people to understand “why they do what they do.” The dimensions of Dominance, influencing, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness make up the Everything DiSC model and provide us with a language and safe place to discuss behavior.
The model was developed from Dr. William Marston’s theory to explain people’s emotional responses to various stimuli at Columbia University in 1928 and later researched and updated by Dr. John Geier and Inscape Publishing at the University of Minnesota. We use the Everything DiSC assessments from Wiley Publishing at AHA!
